JASMYN Prism Network Launched

Are you a young professional or JASMYN alum aged 25 – 40 who would like to connect, network, and increase your engagement with JASMYN? A terrific group of activists, volunteers, and supporters is formalizing a Young Professionals and Alumni chapter just for JASMYN! The chapter bylaws were drafted by a task force over several months in 2016, and were approved by the JASMYN governing board earlier this year. An annual membership fee of $30 includes an entry to #StridesForPride. Want to learn more?

Making the Holidays Brighter 2016

You can help make the holidays sparkle a little brighter this holiday for young people who count on the JASMYN campus for support. With your help, we’ll be stuffing 50 holiday stockings on December 14th!

The Youth Council brainstormed a wishlist of items; some are practical, some are just for fun, all will be treasured. Can you help?

We’ve even set up an Amazon wishlist to make it easy! Sort by “high priority” to move the most requested to the top of the list. Please be sure to have all items delivered no later than December 11th so we can ensure all fifty stockings will have roughly the same items.

  • Portable Phone Chargers
  • $10 Gift Cards for Food / Coffee
  • Head Phones with Mic
  • Lip Gloss / Lip Balm
  • Gum / Breath Mints
  • Gloves/Hats/Scarves
  • Body Spray / Fragrance
  • Candy
  • Pocket Hand Sanitizer
  • Body Lotion
  • Nice Pens
  • Notebooks
  • Costume Jewelry

Thank you for helping to hug young people this season!

Making Prom Dreams Come True

The 16th Annual JASMYN Alternative Prom is scheduled for May 13th! On May 3rd, the community is asked to #GiveLocalJax and help make this prom spectacular. A donation of any amount will help build a stage for performances, bring in a hot meal for the roughly 200 attendees, provide music, decor, and more. The JASMYN Youth Council chose this year’s theme: “Lights! Camera! Fashion!”

Thank you, Citi – Presenting Sponsor for 2016!

There is still time to help be a part of the magic: Donate securely now, and help make our red carpet dreams come true.

Seeking an AIDS-Free Generation

Thanks to the Delores Barr Weaver Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Jacksonville, every donation to JASMYN’s #AIDSFreeJAX campaign will be matched dollar for dollar! Show your support today: donate here on our secure server – any amount will make a world of difference.

To date, through this campaign, JASMYN has already added one full-time Case Manager to our team to help newly-diagnosed young people learn to manage their healthcare and access evidence-based solutions to better outcomes, along with a full-time Health Navigator who helps get young people to the doctor and allied health appointments that keep their treatment plan on track. Learn more about the campaign, and get involved!
