Parents, Guardians & Advocates

JASMYN provides a safe space, support, leadership development, HIV prevention, and recreational opportunities to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning (LGBTQ) youth 13-23. 

JASMYN also supports parents, guardians, youth workers, educators and members of the Jacksonville community by serving as a resource around issues affecting  LGBT youth. By providing diversity trainings, community round tables and other educational programs JASMYN continues  to promote the understanding and respect for LGBTQ youth and advocates for social change in the greater Jacksonville community.

As a teacher who is involved with our LGBT youth and Gay-Straight Alliances in Duval County, I can say that our attempts to make our schools a safer environment would not be as possible without JASMYN's support. With JASMYN leading our community with current education and positive reinforcement for our LGBTQQ youth, we are more capable of providing our youth with everything they need to be successful and true to themselves
