JASMYN has been supporting LGBT youth since 1994, and providing HIV prevention programs and testing for over 12 years. We know that HIV rates are rising in Jacksonville and around the state and country among African American gay and bisexual males, including our youth. While we provide individual and group HIV interventions to help LGBT youth reduce their risk of HIV, we want to also engage community service providers and leaders in communityin a discussion to raise awareness of the high infection rates in Black YMSM in Jacksonville.
JASMYN Youth Panels will explore the factors that contribute to these rates, and look for structural strategies to address the factors. In order to successfully impact the rates we have to have all parts of the community coming together to address the issues we identify. Be a part of the discussion!
Listen to the young people – dialogue on the challenges of the HIV epidemic in Jacksonville – discuss how we can mobilize for change.
