Francisco Castro

Francisco Castro is a passionate and motivational leader who believes in the power of community. From the beginning of his career in banking where he worked closely with local businesses, to his now nearly twenty years of working with local LGBTQIA+ organizations, building community has been at the forefront of his personal and professional journey.

Beginning in 1993 and continuing for more than a decade, Mr. Castro held executive level positions with Citibank and Regions Bank, respectively. It was after fifteen years in the financial industry that he found his true calling to be in the non-profit sector, specifically in leading LGBTQIA+ organizations. Some of those include the Miami/Fort Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, PFLAG of Greater Boston, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, and Fenway Health.

In November of 2024, Mr. Castro was selected by JASMYN’s Board of Directors to be the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Following a nationwide search, Mr. Castro’s unique blend of business acumen and dedication to community building made him the clear choice to lead JASMYN into its next chapter.
